Thank you very much to you Michael for the support with our stay - I was very pleased with all the information and maps provided prior to arrival and Michael was keen to help us with any queries we had. We had a very pleasant stay in the apartment and there was enough space to accommodate six adults and one child. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well equipped the apartment was – there was a library and several games to enoy our evenings spent in the warmth of the fireplace. We were skiing a lot, and the weather was wonderful. In apartment we had all what we needed for excellent self catering stay. We liked that the apartment was very quiet. We had a great time in Bad Gastein and surrounding slopes, Apartment Graukogel was a great place to come back after our snowboarding day. There was plenty of space even for six persons. First time in summer, now two winter trips at the apartment under our hats. And everytime worth the trip. Nestled at the top of the Gastein Valley, it is truly stunning location and architecture, compared to any skiing location I have visited anyway. When the log fire is the lounge is a great place for evening relaxation - plenty of space and very comfortable. Can/will we come back for a fourth time? I am sure sometime soon! Great place nestled away, very homely and comfortable. Plenty of space for the three of us and enough entertainment to keep ourselves occupied (although we didn't need it). activities and things to do and see. We drove there, which made it very
handy to get to places, although as recommended by Richard, we realised
the public transport is very good even in the summer. Highlights included: The Gastein card was a new introduction when we were there and it gave us numerous discounts and saved us lots of money. Der nette e-mail Kontakt, die durchweg professionelle Abwicklung der Formalitäten, wir haben gewusst, dass wir in einer besonderen Umgebung wohnen werden.Die Realität hat unsere Erwartungen noch übertroffen: traumhaft bequeme Betten, ein gemütlich eingerichtetes Wohn/Esszimmer und ein Ausblick, der fast zu schön war, um wahr zu sein. it. We can not compare it to other places, but here was all we needed. It was
cosy, quiet, well-equipped but the nature around is impossible to describe - this

Gints Gzibovskis & family, Edijs Dukurs & family, Latvia (Jan 09) ...... peaceful and very spacious ...... The apartment is wonderful, cosy, peaceful and very spacious. It offers fabulous privacy and thus it is great for extended family, group of friends or families with small children - you can sit and talk in the evenings without disturbing their sleep. All the needed amenities were included in the apartment and we weren't short of anything. As to Gasteinertal - it is a very good place to ski and a nice place to stay. Jan Kowalewski & family, Poland (New Year 08/09) ....... we spent great evenings by the fireplace ...... We have spent a wonderful weekend in Bad Gastein! We had lots of snow, so we fully enjoyed skiing and snowboarding. The area is really beautiful and the ski-stations are very well equipped. So is the apartment: cosy and very spacious, even for seven people living in it. Everything we needed was there (even music and games!) and we spent great evenings by the fireplace. We arrived in the dark but when we woke up to a brisk, but sunny morning and looked out the window to see the clouds hovering over the mountain tops and Bad Gastein below, well, what can I say! Wow! Sad to leave after such a short stay, a very comfortable and well equipped apartment in the most amazing of settings. We all wanted to stay longer to absorb the views and breathe in the fresh air, so we've booked a skiing trip in March already! Thanks to Mike & Rich, see you in the winter. Rob Stead, London, UK (August 08) ....... it was excellent value for money ...... Thank you for the use of your apartment. It was very spacious and warm, and felt very homely. It was also sufficiently well equipped for a self catering holiday. Considering the apartment has two seprate bedrooms, it was excellent value for money! The skiing was great, we spent the majority of the time at Angertal as we enjoyed the runs there. We also went down to Dorfgastein and skied over to Grossarl in the next valley. We would also like to say thanks for all the help you gave us before our holiday. Your website had lots of useful information about the immediate and surrounding areas and the apartment itself. We loved the apartment and it was a real home from home, and the valley was great for us skiing and for our parents too. The skiing was great and the snow was probably the best I have skied on in many years. We thought Schlossalm was great for variety of pistes up there. We enjoyed the mountain huts, especially the Ahornhütte on the Stubnerkogel. We also stopped at the Ski-restaurant in Angertal. The restaurant was great - sheep skin rugs on the seats made for a warm stay and the food hearty, just what was needed. The waterfall in the town centre is great to have and one night we were there, the locals played music just up and to the right, this was piped throughout the town and this was great. They were selling gluhwein and people dancing in the street so made for a nice atmosphere. In summary, a great holiday with home from home accommodation, lovely setting. We *loved* the apartment and would really like to stay there again next year. We skied up at SportGastein nearly every day because there was so much snow up there, we loved it. We also spent the day in the Alpentherme Spa in Bad Hofgastein which was awesome. Such a lovely place. We tried quite a few of the restaurants too all of which were great, the Salzburger Hof, the Gruner Baum. Because it was Christmas and my Mum & I both cook, we cooked in quite a few nights as well. The kitchen was perfectly equipped. The apartment had everything we needed, and we all loved how easy the walk to town was. Thanks so much for an excellent Christmas!  | ....... we really hope to go back ...... The apartment was great. Everything we could need for a week and in easy to find places. We went for a few walks. One day we went up Gamskarkogel behind Grüner Baum with a hut/bar at the top. Another day we walked along the high path to Bad Hofgastein. It does go past some nice waterfalls. In Bad Hofgastein we sat in a really nice park for lunch feeding the ducks and then walked back along the path by the river. | ||||||||||||||
Our favourite walk was past Grüner Baum and up to Reedsee (a really nice breezy place after the heat and nice cold water to paddle in) and then on to Palfner Scharte. There are plenty more walks to be done around theapartment so we really hope to go back. Thanks for providing such a great place to stay! Debbie and Ian, Norwich, UK. (July 07) ....... so spacious and well tucked away ...... Thank you very much for the use of your apartment. It was a fabulous base, so spacious and well tucked away. The apartment was great and had everything we needed. There was loads of space for the three of us and with some of the weather we experienced we were glad of the space and home comforts. We did get out for several walks and managed 5 rounds of golf during our stay. We really liked the golf course and would described it as interesting and challenging. I also developed quite an affection for the waterfalls and we had a couple of walks up towards Graukogel and Stubnerkogel. ersten Skifahrer morgens auf der Piste erspäht man beim Frühstück
sehr schön) zum anderen soe zentral, so dass zu jeder Jahreszeit ein Einkauf
oder sonstiges in Bad Gastein zu Fuß zu erledigen ist (wir waren im Herbst

..... comforts of home ..... Going somewhere new with the family under your own steam can be a bit of a worry, but getting to Bad Gastein by plane and train couldn't have been easier. There can't be many ski resorts with an intercity line on the doorstep. Then it's only five minutes by taxi. The apartment was excellent with the comforts of home that are needed after a hard day on the piste. With lots of space and a great drying room Apartment Graukogel provided those extras that made self-catering easy. The rooms were good, the beds comfortable and games provided that led to no complaints from four teenagers. The traffic-free walk into town with outstanding views of the town and scenery was a pleasure. We were lucky to be there for two February events - Jam07 (freestyle ski/snowboard with live music) and Red Bull Playstreets. Where else would you see skiing through the middle of town! ..... fantastic holiday and wouldn't hesitate recommending the apartment ..... We really enjoyed our stay at Apartment Graukogel and were impressed by all it had to offer. The apartment was spacious, yet cosy and equipped with everything we could need. All the rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and more than big enough for our group of 6. The apartment benefits from a quiet, relaxing setting, but is still just a short walk from the main bars and restaurants. Getting to the ski resort was easy, especially as-up-to date bus timetables had thoughtfully been provided at the apartment. ..... the scenery is just stunning ..... Lovely apartment in a great location, just far enough out of town to feel secluded but close enough to be a short walk to all the bars and restaurants if you like things a bit more lively. The apartment is very welcoming, clean and remarkably spacious (it accommodated 6 friends with ease). We really liked Bad Gastein which is a great traditional ski resort with good links to other parts of the Amade ski area (especially as the ski bus is so close). We'd recommend some apres ski at the Silver Bullet if you've still got the energy! The scenery is just stunning (including the view from the apartment). We enjoyed skiing on the Schlossalm area above Bad Hofgastein the most and especially the beer and apple strudel stops along the way! | ||||||||||||||

Had a great ski holiday and we have been recommending the apartment and the area to anyone who will listen since returning to the UK. - Dave & Ros, Nottingham, UK (Feb 07) ..... your apartment has to be the roomiest we have ever stayed in ..... We had a fantastic time in your brilliant apartment. We've stayed in several ski apartments over the years, and yours has to be the roomiest we have ever stayed in - we reckon that it could sleep 8 comfortably. We were a bit worried about the distance from the village, but the walk from the back of the apartment was so quick and convenient. Kitchen was fantastic, with a grill and dish washer - home comforts which we have not had in some apartments! We really enjoyed our stay and all agreed that you have a beautiful apartment in a great ski area. We will be in touch with you again some time. - Graham and Sue, Marienfeld, Germany.
